Trained by C Weatherall and owned by Mr J H Lee, Getup Me Izzy brings an impressive record of 3 wins from just 4 starts into today’s contest. That 75% strike rate is the mark of a serious contender.
While she had to settle for second last time out on the 9th of November, there are plenty of positives to take from that run. She was sent off the heavy 8/15 favorite and showed tremendous determination to run on strongly for a 2nd place finish, beaten just over a length. The key takeaway? She lost no credibility in defeat and has proven she can perform at this level.
A look at her form shows a commanding victory over this same Oxford 450m course just a week before that, winning from trap four in a blistering 26.54 seconds. She clearly loves the track and with a slick early sectional speed, she has the tools to get to the front and be very difficult to pass.
