Grade: Handicap | Distance: 450m Analysis: A competitive handicap where the “form dog” is undoubtedly Inkysquiggle (Trap 3). Starting off the R9 mark, she is chasing a hat-trick after two impressive victories, including a determined win on January 19th where she led near the line. She seems to be ahead of the handicapper at the moment and her calculated times (28.50s range) are very consistent.
The main danger could be the scratch runner, Beretta Makala (Trap 6). She has been running well in defeat, finishing a strong 2nd last time out, and has a win on the card from January 6th. She will need to navigate through the field, but her class is evident. Imabluenose (Trap 5) is the model of consistency with back-to-back 2nd place finishes and shouldn’t be far away if turning handy. Lillies Bubbles (Trap 1) starts with a massive R17 advantage; she improved to 2nd last time and could be hard to reel in if she traps smartly.
Verdict: Inkysquiggle is in the form of her life and is selected to land the treble.

Race 12: Nottingham (A2 – 500m)
Grade: A2 | Distance: 500m Analysis: This A2 contest features a standout class dropper in Headford Spider (Trap 6). Dropping down from A1 grade, her run on January 19th was eye-catching despite finishing 3rd; she clocked a raw time (29.70 +20) that is significantly faster than her rivals here. If she can avoid the trouble that hampered her last run, she should have too much engine for this field.
Proper Sandy (Trap 4) is the unlucky runner in the field, having finished 2nd by a short-head or head in her last three consecutive starts. She is clearly knocking on the door and is the obvious forecast link, though she finds it hard to get her nose in front. Ballymac Archer (Trap 3) has a solid A2 win on his card from late December and represents value if the selection fluffs the start.
Verdict: Headford Spider looks the class act dropping in grade and is our Best Bet of the three races.

Grade: A1 | Distance: 462m Analysis: The form line from the A1 race on January 21st is the key to solving this puzzle. In that race, Bankrobber (Trap 3) finished a creditable 2nd, beating home Wee Mac Kate, Ballycowen Alfie, and Great Pet. That piece of form puts Bankrobber strictly ahead of those rivals on the clock. He is a consistent trapper who is rarely out of the frame.
Wrong Not Wright (Trap 2) is the fresh challenger, coming off a solid 2nd in a different A1 contest. He is consistent and reliable, making him a safe option for exotics. Wee Mac Kate (Trap 1) won well in A2 two starts back but finished behind the selection last time; she will need to find a length or two to reverse that form.
Verdict: Bankrobber holds the strongest recent form line and is taken to win.
