Yesterday, we launched our new selection system live after weeks of beta testing. We aimed for a 40% win rate—a notoriously difficult number to hit in greyhound racing.

Today’s Results (Live Testing):

  • Total Selections: 36

  • Winners Found: 17

  • Win Strike Rate: 47.22%

To put this in perspective, the industry average for tipsters usually hovers around 25-29%. Our “Expert Sniper” logic is currently outperforming the market by nearly 20%.

How Are We Doing This? We aren’t guessing. Our new V57 Engine uses a “Nuclear” data cleaning process to strip away bad data, ensuring we only bet on dogs that are:

  1. Tipped by Experts: (Racing Post & Betfair/Coral)

  2. Proven Fast: (Verified “Clean” Race Times)

  3. Safe from Trouble: (Good Split Times to avoid collisions)

What’s Next? We are keeping the system strictly locked on these settings. The goal now is consistency. If we can maintain anything close to this strike rate over the coming week, we have changed the game.

The Testing Phase is Over

For the past few weeks, I’ve been sharing regular updates here as we built, tweaked, and stress-tested our new Greyhound selection engine. You’ve seen the “Beta” tag on our daily tips, and you’ve watched the results improve as we refined the logic.

Today, I am proud to announce that the Beta phase is officially over. The new ProSniper V48 system is now Live.

The Data: Why We Built This

We didn’t build this system just for the sake of it. We built it because the standard industry tips, while useful, often lack the consistency needed for serious bettors.

Yesterday, we ran a comprehensive data test across all race meetings to compare our new engine against the biggest names in the industry. The results speak for themselves.

Yesterday’s Win Strike Rates:

  • ❌ SoftwareGen: 25.07%

  • ❌ Betfair/Coral: 25.36%

  • ❌ Racing Post: 28.98%

  • ✅ ProSniper V48: 38.30%

While the industry giants were hovering between 25% and 29%, our rigorous filtering process pushed our strike rate nearly 10% higher.

How We Achieved 38.30% (The V48 Process)

Our new system doesn’t just guess. It acts as a strict “filter” that combines expert knowledge with hard data. We aren’t trying to bet on every race; we are hunting for the Standout Dogs.

Here is exactly how the ProSniper Engine chooses the selections you see on today’s table:

1. The “Gatekeeper” Rule We ignore any dog that isn’t tipped by at least one major expert. If the Racing Post or Betfair/Coral doesn’t think it can win, neither do we. This immediately removes low-quality runners.

2. The Speed & Split Verification An expert tip isn’t enough. Our system analyzes the Last 5 Runs of every dog.

  • If a dog is tipped but has slow recent times compared to the field, we reject it.

  • If a dog is tipped but has a “Bad Split” (starts slowly and gets blocked), we reject it.

  • We only proceed if the hard data confirms the expert opinion.

Understanding Your New Table

When a dog survives these strict filters, it appears on your table in one of two ways:

  • ✅ Green “Back Bet”: This means one major expert tipped the dog, AND it is the Fastest Dog in the race with a Safe Split. This is a statistically strong selection.

  • ★ Purple Star (The Gold Standard): This is the holy grail. It means BOTH Racing Post and Betfair/Coral agree this dog will win. When the two biggest experts agree, and the dog meets our speed criteria, the confidence level is maximum.

We’ve done the hard work of crunching the data and cross-referencing the experts so you don’t have to.

The Beta Lab: Next-Generation Greyhound Predictions

After extensive testing we are now on version 46. This new version will now include the Purple Star selections, similar to the Australian Tips. The Purple Star are what we consider as the very best greyhound back tips. Yesterdays version we posted here was version 44 but we do extensive testing behind away from here. We tested version 46 which got close to what we want a 40% win strike rate. The average win strike rate for the leading greyhound tips tipsters is between 24% and 25% win strike rate.

We are constantly striving to give our members a genuine edge over the market. For the past few months, we have been building a completely new prediction engine designed to look deeper than ever before.

This page is the home of our Beta Test Selections. Unlike standard tips that rely on simple market moves, these Back selections are generated by a proprietary algorithm that analyzes 137 individual data points for every single greyhound in every race.

How It Works

Instead of following the crowd, our new “True Value” engine calculates the raw performance capability of each dog. It ignores the hype and focuses on hard data:

  • 137-Column Deep Dive: We analyze everything from split times and bend positioning to weight changes and recent race comments.

  • The “Safety Margin” Logic: We don’t just pick the fastest dog. A BACK tip is only generated if a dog has a clear statistical speed advantage (0.15s+) over the field.

  • Precision Laying: After extensive testing it was found that we could not better our original LAY BET selection.

Important: Beta Status

Please treat these selections as experimental. We are currently in the extensive testing phase to fine-tune how our algorithm weighs all 137 data columns.

We recommend “Paper Trading” (tracking results without risking money) or using small stakes while we calibrate the system.

We are committed to transparency and continuous improvement. Watch this space as we refine the data to bring you the most accurate greyhound tips in the UK.

The Last Data Analysis

I compared the winners against the losers in their races yesterday 13-01-2026 to see where they ranked in each category:

  1. Bend Position (The #1 Predictor): The strongest indicator was Average_Bend_Position. Dogs ranked 1st for positioning won 36% of the races.

  2. Best Recent Time (Speed): The “Fastest Dog” only won 29% of the time. However, the winner was in the Top 3 for Speed in 64% of cases.

  3. Recent Form (Run 1): Surprisingly, the dog with the best last run time only won 20% of the time. This suggests last-run times can be misleading (bad luck, weather, etc.)

  4. The software has been updated again and we will test it again today

UPDATE: After running yesterdays version 27 we acheived a winning strike rate of 44.3% we still have further testing to do today. Todays selections are below.

This next version is a sophisticated strategy. With this version being a “Pro-Level” System that looks for specific profitable angles (Grade Drops, Sectional Advantages, and Open Race Class) rather than just raw speed.

Since our extensive data  contains the History (Run1_RaceType, Run1_Split, etc.), We have written a script specifically for this system.

The “Pro-System” Engine (V34)

This script runs 3 Distinct Systems simultaneously:

  1. The “Bullet” System (Fast Starters):

    • Rule: Finds a dog whose Average Split is at least 0.10s faster than the next best starter in the race.

    • Bonus: If they are in Trap 1 or Trap 6, it marks them as a “Bullet (Ideal Draw)”.

  2. The “Class Dropper” System:

    • Rule: It reads the current Grade (e.g., A5) and compares it to the dog’s last race (Run1_RaceType).

    • Trigger: If the dog ran in a Higher Grade (e.g., A4) last time and is now in a Lower Grade (A5), it is marked as a “Grade Drop”.

    • Note: It assumes “Open Races” (OR) are the highest class.

  3. The “Open Race” Specialist:

    • Rule: If the race is an Open Race (OR), it selects the dog with the Best Recent Time. In Open races, class and pure speed usually prevail.

      The back bets were updated this morning at 3.30am UK time. If you are seeing the old back tips you might need to clear your browser cache. If you are referring to the Beta test back bets, we are still working on the new system which will be finished this week. Chris
