DOG OF THE DAY

Hitit Agendavy

Dog Of The Day: Hitit Agendavy (Monmore 12:42)

Date: Saturday 22nd November 2025

Track: Monmore Green

Time: 12:42 (Race 7)

For this Saturday’s Dog of the Day, we are focusing on the lunchtime action at Monmore Green. Our selection is the exciting young prospect Hitit Agendavy, who looks poised to strike in the 12:42.

Trained by J. B. Thompson, this January ’24 whelp is still very lightly raced with only 7 starts under his belt, but he has already shown flashes of real quality that suggest he is ahead of the grader.

Form Analysis

Hitit Agendavy comes into this race with a profile that screams “improver.”

His performance on 10th November was the standout. Dropped into A4 company, he produced a smash break (4.41 sectional) and led from pillar to post, clocking a superb 28.28s. To put that in perspective, that time is easily competitive in A2/A3 grade.

He was upgraded to A3 last time out (15th Nov) and finished 4th, beaten just under 2 lengths. However, a closer look at that run is encouraging. He missed the break slightly (4.45s) compared to his win, yet he battled hard (“4322”) to stay in the mix.

The Race Today:

He draws Trap 3 today in a field that looks manageable.

  • The Danger: Hollywell Cookie (Trap 1) is a known front-runner.
  • The Key: If Hitit Agendavy can replicate that 4.41 split he produced two runs ago, he has the pace to clear the inside dogs. Being so young, he is likely to find more improvement than his older rivals.

Verdict: A progressive pup with a sub-28.30s run on his card. If he traps, he wins.

Race Report: Hitit Agendavy Denied in Tight Finish

Date: 22nd November 2025 Track: Monmore (12:42) Grade: A3

It was a case of “so close yet so far” for our Dog of the Day, Hitit Agendavy, who put in a shift but had to settle for the runner-up spot behind Aero Brooke in the A3 at Monmore this afternoon.

The Race Breakdown

The race was a competitive affair from the moment the traps opened. Drawing Trap 3, Hitit Agendavy broke well with a 4.44s split—almost identical to the early leader Hollywell Cookie (4.43s) in Trap 1.

The race comment “EP, Mid, EvCh” (Early Pace, Middle, Every Chance) sums up his performance accurately. He used his early pace to secure a prime position (2nd) going into the back straight. However, the race changed complexion at the third bend.

Aero Brooke (Trap 2), who had been tracking the pace, made a decisive move to lead at the ¾ mark (“Led 3”). While Hitit Agendavy battled on well to hold second place, he couldn’t quite repel the winner’s late surge, eventually going down by 1 length in a time of 29.13s.

Notably, he finished ahead of the 15/8 favorite, Catchem Flawless, proving that the market was perhaps right to be wary of our selection.

Key Takeaways

  • Consistency: His split of 4.44s shows he is reliably hitting the lids.
  • Learning Curve: As a January ’24 puppy, he is still learning his trade. Being beaten by a stronger stayer like Aero Brooke is part of that education.
  • The Time: 29.13s is a solid A3 run. He didn’t blow the start, and he didn’t fade badly; he just bumped into a winner in peak form.

Verdict: No disgrace in this defeat. He beat the favorite and ran to his grade. He remains a pup with plenty of upside.

📒 Watch List Entry: Hitit Agendavy

Date Added: 22nd November 2025 Track: Monmore Current Grade: A3

The Run: Finished 2nd (beaten 1L) behind Aero Brooke. Showed good early pace (4.44s) to sit 2nd but couldn’t hold off the strong-finishing winner at the 3rd bend.

Why Follow: He is a model of consistency at the boxes. In lower grades (A4), his early pace clears the field easily. In A3, he is competitive but just lacks that final kick of stamina right now.

Betting Strategy (Next Time Out):

  • If he drops to A4: MAX BET. His early pace is too much for A4 dogs.
  • If he stays in A3: Look for a race where the other dogs are “slow breakers.” He needs to lead clearly at the first bend to win at this level.

⚖️ The Verdict

Today’s result was a solid “par” performance. Hitit Agendavy did everything right—he trapped, he chased, and he beat the favorite. He simply found Aero Brooke too strong in the latter stages.

The winner, Aero Brooke, is worth noting too. To win from behind at Monmore requires trackcraft, and leading at the 3rd bend suggests she is in great heart.

Notebooks out: Keep Hitit Agendavy on your radar for when he inevitably drops back to A4, where he will likely be uncatchable.

Betting Strategy Reminder: We strictly adhere to an odds limit between 1.01 and 12.0. Any selection whose odds drift higher than 12.0 becomes an automatic no-bet. Bankroll discipline is key to long-term profitability.
