Laying Greyhounds

The biggest hurdle when laying the dogs can be getting the right odds. Betfair do not really give very good odds and Betdaq are simply a waste of time for laying greyhounds. Our points system can make things easier, which I will try to explain here. Our previous points/tips can be viewed here Previous Tips to give you an idea.

Betfair Example

As can be seen in the image above, each dog is allocated points. The more points a dog is given, the more chance they have of winning (in our opinion).

The one’s we are interested in here are the greyhounds with the lowest points. Trap 2 has the lowest points, but the lay odds are to high at 14, so we look at the dog with the next lowest points which is trap 1 with odds of 5.5.

As it was, trap 4 went on to win the race anyway, but that is how we make our lay selection. In some cases, you can look at the three dogs with the lowest points to make your selection. It is a matter of finding a balance between the greyhound points and the betting odds.

Laying Greyhounds Points System

Within our points system you will see some greyhound with very low points, 1, 2 or 3 some days these are perfect if the odds are good.

The way I do my lay betting is that I set a win profit for the day of £50, once that daily profit is achieved that’s it for the day. You must be disciplined with laying or betting on the greyhounds if you are not then you can lose a lot of money. So set a daily win profit of £20, £30, £40 or £50 before you start, once this has been reached, stop for the day until tomorrow. I make my basic selections first thing in the morning by using the points system and checking against odds checker

Automated Betting

My bets are automated using The Staking Machine and Gruss Software although there is other software you can use as well. The lay system I use is Lay % Up Down, there are other systems, but this is my favored system.

Most days I can get to my win profit for the day within the first hour but today it took me two hours. Sometimes things can go wrong, it has happened to me on a few occasions. If for instance you get three dogs win, that you lay straight after each other your bank is going to go down rapidly. You need to ensure you have a large enough starting bank to allow for this.

Therefore, you should start off low and build, my advice is to look for a daily win profit of £20 and build your bank. After a week you will have an extra £140 and, in a month, you will have £560. Then set your daily win profit of £30 to win £210 a week, this is a realistic way to build your bank without risking to much at the start.

Most people are put off laying greyhounds because of the size of bet they must make. For instance, to win just £4 at odds of 4.0 you have a liability of £16, quite a risk. However, it is much easier to find a loser in a race than it is a winner.

Laying Greyhounds A Few Notes

1. Don’t fall into the trap that most people do, be disciplined, set a target and stick to it. If you have set a win profit for the day of only £20, you can win this within the first six races. Then you might think to yourself, that was easy, I will just go on a bit, big mistake. Stick to your guns, pack it up for the day and start again in the morning.

2. Watch the odds, it is no good laying dogs with to greater odds, I look for odds of between 2.0 to 6.0 but sometimes up to 8.0. If a dog, you lay does win at least you have some control of what you have lost.

3. You do not need to find a lay on every race, if the points are not good enough or the odds are not good then leave this race alone.

4. Use a system, as I said earlier, I personally use Lay % Up Down because it suits me.

5. Never wager more than you can afford to lose.

  1. Hello
Just came across your site. Do you have a historic results page that I could look at? When are the figures for the dogs made available? Do Betbot Pro and Staking Machine both work ok for your tips?

Do you recommend backing or dutching for the high rated dogs?
    Thanks
    Graeme

      1. Hello, I have a recovery set at 25% and a stop loss set at £150. But, these settings should be adjusted to suit you. Regards Chris.

  2. Hi Chris – could you check this please …
In this seven day test, I am hoping to win £50 a day or £350 a week but things can go wrong. In the settings I have the software to stop, when a win profit for the day reaches £50 or a loss of £100 a day is matched. It is very rare that I could get three losing days in a week but it could happen. If this did happen then my win profit for the week would only be £50. I could quite easily get one losing day in a week and of course if that happened, then I would only win £250 in that week.

    3 losing days = -300
    4 winning days = 200

I’m about to sign up anyway.

    1. Hello,
In the settings I had, I would be prepared to lose a maximum of £100 a day, but would hope to win £50 a day.
Yes you are correct sorry about this and thanks for pointing it out.
      Regards Chris.

        1. Hello, This is a very difficult question to answer.
You could lay all your selections and they all lose their races and you could get to your £50 quickly but then again it is possible that things go horribly wrong and you reach your stop loss per day quickly. So you could start with a £200 bank or a £2000 bank.
You should never bet more than you can afford to lose.
But, the best way is to start off small first, I think to try to aim at £20 profit a day to start with. Or you can even try the system in simulation mode first.
          Regards Chris.

  3. I have been laying Greyhounds reasonably successfully for a fair while but find it difficult to lay dogs at provincial tracks (Peterborough, Sunderland, Perry Barr, Belle Vue etc).
Any suggestions on Betting Exchange which takes these lay bets?

  4. Hi Chris, I signed up this morning so very new. I will also try what JanML was looking to do re csv file. Just a couple of questions: Do you enter every dog from your tips file into BBP, if so do you do it manually? I put in a request for your BBP settings on the Facebook page but think you may see it here first, Can I have your BBP settings?
Can’t wait to get started, off to buy BBP
    Best regards
    Graham

    1. Hello Graham, Yes I did reply to you on Facebook and posted the BBP settings on there. But you can download them from here BBP Settings if you wish. I do not lay dogs in every race but am more selective, I do enter them manually.

  5. Hi chris you haven’t posted lays via excel file option since 31st dec can this be done daily please? New layout is great but need excel option also

  6. Hello David, I get a lot of inquiries from Australia with regard to the Greyhound Points and that is why I decided to supply Aus points as well. I also have members from Australia who lay dogs in the UK market. Yes you can open an account at BetfairAU Help legally. Although you will require a VPN to block out UK connection with BetBotPro. I hope this helps regards, Chris.

  7. Olá, sou do Brasil, tem alguma forma que eu possa testar seu sistema, de forma gratuita antes de fazer a compra? pelo menos por 1 ou 2 dias…?

    1. I get asked all the time for a free trial, but there are no free trials. I put a lot of work into providing these greyhound lay points and many hours of work. Then I have to manually update the website early in the mornings and sometimes start at 3 am. Membership prices are kept very low and you can test the greyhound lay points for only £1.20.

  8. Morning Chris,

I’m trying to follow the screenshots for configuring the settings in BBP for Betfair, however, I can’t find some of the options as shown in your pictures. For example, on the Selections tab, none of the available options in the current version of BBP I have (5.3.1.0.0), match the Selections tab shown in your screenshot. There’s no “selection options” on that tab, where it’s been set to “manual selection”.
Likewise on the Staking tab, in your screenshot for the recovery stake plan, there’s “Output Bets Calcs” but this checkbox isn’t available in the new version. Additionally, under the recovery stake plan in the latest BBP, there’s a new setting called “NoBets”. I’ve checked the manual for BBP ver 5.3.1.0.0, and there’s no explanation for what it is.
Most of the other options/settings seem like they’ve just had their names changed and I think I’ve matched the settings to those as shown in your screenshots. Are the screenshots you’ve provided taken from an earlier version BBP?

    1. Hello Avril, It looks like you are using the older version of BBP and you need to contact BBP Support and ask them for the Bet Bot Pro which is version: 1.0.1902.5 regards Chris

  9. Hello Chris,

I’m already using the service, but I’m still a little bit confuse about the odds. Sometimes you say that you use 2-6 and sometimes 2-12. Which range should I use here?

    Best regards,

    Helder

    1. I was using odds of between 2 and 8 for ages but it started getting harder to find matched lay bets. So I now use odds between 2 and 12 it’s easier to get a good lay bet matched. But you can use whatever is best for you.

      1. Thank you so much Chris! Congratulations for the great job! I’m still trying to figure out the best races to bet. Sometimes none of the lowest works and one of them wins. Is there any analysis I could make to validate my decision? Maybe remarks, BRT, Split, Top time, etc? Any suggestion to be more accurate on my bets?

        Best regards!

        1. This is the problem with greyhound racing. Sometimes we get winners with very large odds, winning a race that was never expected. The points system takes all statistics into account including how a greyhound has raced in all previous race, split times, win time, BRT, everything is included. The points system is really the best way to source our greyhound tips. But, you can also compare the tips to other tipsters such as Racing Post& Timeform. I hope this helps regards Chris.

  10. Hi, any idea when the points for the aus greyhounds will be up and running? I’m loving the site and eager to go….80)

  11. Hi Chris,

Just wanted to say thanks. Been using the Aussie points system to lay for the last couple of days and had a high strike and some nice profit. Struggled to get anything consistent before. I honestly can’t wait for the UK dogs to return now. Keep up the great work.

      1. Hi Chris Could you email me the BBP settings, please. Also, what do you think is a very safe bankroll for Laying £4 bets and can you just confirm what Min Max odds you are using now
        Thanks so much
        Dave

        1. I have emailed the settings to you now.
The odds range I use now is between 2.0 and 12.0
Bankroll is difficult. When I started I had a bank of £200 but was looking for a £20 daily profit then.

  12. Hi Chris can I please get a copy if your BBP settings do you need to lay all the dos below 15 or just 1 if just 1 how do you setup bbp to do this

  13. Hi, Chris Could you email me the BBP settings, please. Also, what do you think is a very safe bankroll for Laying £4 bets and can you just confirm what Min Max odds you are using now
    Thanks so much
    Dave

  14. Hello Chris

I think the service you provide is fantastic and I’m just about to subscribe to your tipping service.

I see you mention Bet bot Pro & The Staking Machine. Would i need them both or do they do the same job.

I think I might go for the staking Machine as it also keeps good records.

Ive seen your settings for BBP on your Facebook page, but I cant find your settings to help set up The staking Machine. Is it possible to get your settings for TSM to help me get started as I’m new to all this.

    Any other advice welcome

    Keep up the good work.

    Kind Regards

    Mark Burrows

    1. Hello Mark, I do not have a copy of the settings for TSM. You will need Gruss Software with the TSM but the combination does work very well.

  15. Hi Chris,

I have just downloaded Betbotpro on the free trial. I have also been through your secreen shots of your setup and have found some of the conditions missing on Betbotpro as well as your home page is diffenrt to the download. Can you confirm your settings on latest update please or let me know how to setup the same as yours?

I will sign up to your site also in the morning to make the most out of the free trial or once you reply to this message and I’m fully setup.

Can I ask if you could share your latest results/do you still share your latest results?

    Thank you
    jonny

      1. Thank you,

I paid for last fridays 17/7/20, the selcetions were great to honest. I held back, so I was in practice mode on BBP to see how the selections went and they went very well both Friday and Sat. I didn’t renew as of yet but I will soon.

I was wondering how this weeks selcetions went?
Do you have or can you share this weeks histroy, maybe by direct email to me?
Do you sit down and work out what selections to choose or do you have software that makes your selctions?

        Thank you

        1. I don’t keep records of week’s history anymore, used to but it is too time-consuming. Selections are made with the software but are checked and adjusted manually as well.

  16. Hi i was just wondering if anyone had any success importing the points lays into Bet Bot Pro or gruss? It can be quite time consuming entering them manually.
    Cheers
    Tim.

  17. Hi. Just saw that you have changed the way you select greyhounds to lay by using Yellow boxes coupled with Pups with < 15 points . So what are the returns compared to the earlier approach.
    Cheers!

    1. Hello Pete, We also have all the tips from the Racing Post, Sporting Life, and Betfair/Coral. Highlighting with yellow boxes seems to help to identify greyhound selections much easier. I am also striving to make the selections more accurate all the time.

  18. Hi i have just signed up and this site looks very interesting,i am giving horse pre scalping a break for a while and thought i would dip my toes in grey hound racing.I cannot wait to get started i am mainly a lay bet person so i will be trying out the lay bets,oh and thankyou chris for replying to my message earlier good luck guys………….

  19. Hi Chris,
Trying to sign up to the 7 day membership but getting an error message when i press
the sign up now button on the check out page, an error message appears as the top of the
page – “Invalid subscription customer_id”. Is there a problem with the link on your website?.
    Thanks Derek

    1. Hello, we are aware of a problem with payments through Paypal at the moment and we are trying to fix it. But, Stripe payment option is still working fine, thanks.

  20. Hi Chris,
Thanks for you message via messenger. Tried again but still no luck.
Maybe i could do a bank transfer if you email me your details?
    Thanks
    Derek

      1. Hi Chris,
7 day trial going well, have won £20 each day
Ready to sign up to the monthly subscription and want to trial the betbot software.
I noticed people asking you for your settings.
Could you send these to me?
        Thanks
        Derek

  21. Hello, I am very interested in your greyhound laying system. I want to automated this. So for example when I subscribe what do I need to do next. What software do I need to automate and will you selection auto popilate in this softwar each day. What settindo I need to adjust in the software Thanks

    Philip.

    1. THE software I recommend is either Bet Bot Pro or The Staking Machine combined with Gruss. You will still need to enter your selections manually each day. After that and as long as your settings are set, it is then automatic.

  22. Hi,

Do you have historical data about all the races in your point system and the race winners?
I’m starting dogs trading and have a background in data. So that would help me getting some insight. What I can share in the community.

    Thanks!

  23. Happy to make £20 per day if possble and have done everyday since i started, the problem i have is walking away after the £20 is made but at that amount £600 a month will do me
    STRIKE RATE RUNNING @ 94.6%
ROI RUNNING @ 7.27% BETTER THAN MY BANK THATS FOR SURE
LONGEST WINNING RUN STILL ON IT IS 26 LAYS

  24. Hi Phil thats very good to say the least and I would also be very happy with £600 a month what do you have your stop loss at for the day as I presume you are using retrieval staking.
And what size bank are you using.
    Thanks Eddie

    1. Because of the time differences, I miss about 10 races each morning. So we give points tips for every race, every day, 7 days a week except for maybe 10 races each day.

  25. Hi Chris, You have shared bet bot pro settings. Thank you for that! What I understand is that you use Lay % up down staking.
Can you share this setting for your goal of 50 pounds a day?
    Thanks!

  26. Update: Yesterday was very hard day. First 3 lays end in a loss. Happy to say @ the end of the day I was at my target profit –> 5%.
Today is a super day! 11 straight wins and a 5% profit. I’m finished for today 🙂

  27. Hi Chris,
Just been made aware of the Betfair premium charge of 20% for accounts which are consistently in profit and have bet on more then 250 markets. would this affect someone successfully laying greyhounds long term?
    Thanks

    1. Hello Derek, Yes, it does include laying greyhounds for accounts that are consistently in profit and have bet on more than 250 markets. You can use other accounts, for instance, another household member or a friend, maybe. You can find out more about this at this link Betfair Premium Charge

      1. Thanks Chris, from what i’ve read, looks like Betfair will charge the Premium rates on your other accounts too if they suspect you have multiple accounts to avoid the charge.
only other option i guess is to use Betdaq for some of the bets to reduce the cost.

  28. Hi Chris,

    Happy new year!

Sometimes it happens that in the point system the dog with the lowest points is the favorit.
Do you always skip the 1st favorit in Bet Bot Pro?

    Thanks and regards,
    Maarten

    1. It is always a good idea to pay attention to the betting market. Sometimes a lot of money can be bet on a dog in the last few seconds. I don’t always skip the favorites, but the live betting market and weight of betting can give a good indication.

  29. Hi Chris i have just joined yesterday and wonder if you would be so kind to send me your Settings for BetBotPro.
One question i Have, are you not worried that your edge might get eroded if all the members on here are using the same settings, and doing the same thing as you?

    Tom

  30. Hi Chris
I have had a couple of 24 hrs days and very much like the way things have gone so far
I am only using £2 stakes and I have couple of questions really
If there is a “no bet” if odds aren’t met do i keep stake at £2
Also if my first lay goes on to win the race do I increase the stake for the next qualifying race or keep it at £2

Great work mate, loving it so far ? ?

    1. Hello Robert,
If there is no bet placed, just treat your next bet as the next race (keep the stake the same). Increasing the stake after a loss is usually controlled by the software you use and the settings you have in place. If you are betting manually, without any software then you will have to adjust the stake yourself. regards Chris.

      1. Thanks Chris
I have just signed for a month with your service, trying to run a bot on betextrader but not been the best day
Made £28 manually yesterday and down by £20 today as we stand
        I know these things happen
Got my odds set between 2 to 8 as you previously mentioned but now I see you have set this to 2 to 12
Signing up for betbotpro to use the service
Your 7 day lay trial to make £50 per day would be mint for me
I would be grateful if you could send me your settings for betbotpro so I can maximise my profit potential
Also with your lay selections do you only pick 2 dogs per race or 3 with the lowe points values

        1. Hello Robert, I will sometimes choose 3 dogs in a race to lay and BBP will select 1 then to lay. You will of course have dogs that you lay that will win, sometimes it can’t be helped. I did adjust my laying odds between 2.0 and 12.0. This has enabled me to get better lay bets and also I can get more bets on now. Be very selective with your lay bets. Remember, you do not need to have a lay bet in every race. Good luck regards Chris.

  31. Hi Chris
Just purchased betbotpro to run your service and my version seems different to yours
I am using betbotpro betfair v5.34
Are there other versions of betbotpro software
    Thanks

      1. Hi Chris
I have now got the same version as you,
        1.0.0.63
I have input your settings for my selections but nothing matched so far today
Could you please send me your settings
I have some options showing that I don’t see on your settings
        Apologies for being a nuisance

  32. Ran 7 days of simulation and tweeked the process by lifting the minimum odds to 5.5 & max to 10 which gave me a 70% strike rate. I use BF Bot Manager and set the event filter to display the first three favourites. If I saw that my selection sat in the first three favourites I either re selected of scratched the race. A further three days on this criteria gave me on average 1 loss in 19 races
Excellent site for th data and well worth the fee
    Well done and many thanks

  33. Hi Chris I have just joined today and I would like to ask you if you would be so kind to send me your settings for BetBotPro. Thank you

  34. Hi Chris.
Trying to download BetBotPro from the link on your site and a message reads that it “was blocked because it could harm your device”. Is there a way round this?

    1. Hello Mark, The software is not owned by me and I am not affiliated with it at all. But, BBP is the software I use and recommend. You can download direct from their website. Maybe you could try right-clicking and open as administrator? If not and you need help, their support is very good. Regards Chris.

      1. Hiya Chris. Tried downloading from their website and the software is still blocked. No administrator function when i right click so i’ve emailed them. Fingers crossed as i’m keen to get started!

          1. Hi Chris. They were very helpful. Just working my way around the software now using simulation mode. Would you be able to send me the BBP settings please?

    2. Hi Chris,

I’ve just started using your point system , and all seems good, I am now think of using the BetBot pro software, could you send me the Win and Lay Bot settings please so I can set it up properly.?

      1. Hello, I have sent them to your email address but these are the old settings I used for placing the lay bets. Regards Chris.

    3. Hi Chris, great site. I’m being thick I know…..Am I correct that you can’t select a dog from your daily list and then pre-lay using BetBot pro? I am thinking that the pre-lay ( auto) setting is for specific criteria that you enter for the race rather than a specific dog ? I am getting better ( thanks to your data) at picking losing dogs but would be great if I didn’t have to sit and do every race manually. I’m sure I saw a video of yours where you run-through how to pick and enter the daily dogs you choose into BBP, can’t seem to find it now. Sorry to bother you with my ineptitude! Would also really appreciate your BBP setting if you don’t mins. Kind regards…Gary

      1. Hello, Yes you can manually select races for forth-coming races. Just scroll down to each race and make your selections as you go.
        Regards Chris.

        1. Thanks for your reply Chris. I can’t select a range of odds though can I , like I can with the auto bot ? i.e to be sure odds are not beyond my range. Your settings would be appreciated, I noticed you kindly sent them by email to earlier requesters. regards Gary

    4. Hi Chris,

I am currently a 7days member. Trying to download the spread sheet for Aussie GH. While the website has all the races for the day, the spreadsheet only has races before 1PM.

Can you please take a look why?

      Kind Regards

    5. Hi Chris,

I am currently a 7days member. Trying to download the spread sheet for Aussie GH. While the website has all the races for the day, the spreadsheet only has races before 1PM.

Can you please take a look why?

      Kind Regards
      veehaa

      1. Hello, Yes, what happens is that the AU Greyhounds has 2 updates. The first update is done between 9 pm and 10 pm UK time. Then the 2nd update comes at 4 am UK time. Sorry about this but it is the only way I can ensure getting all the data. Regards Chris.

    6. Hi Chris,

Is BBP still available to purchase? I have been trying to do so since my trial ended. I have asked for an
invitation to do so as per their site but to no avail. Support seems to be non-existent.

I have been using Bet Angel for your Points system – which are brilliant – and using a 1-4 staking plan
which I employ manually i.e., doubling my next stake on a loser. Thankfully, this does not occur to often
      thanks to your points system.

Meanwhile, Keep up the good work and any help/advice re: purchasing BBP would be appreciated.

      Best regards,
      Stef

      1. Hello Stefan, As far as I am aware BBP is still available to buy. Someone else told me about the 1-4 staking plan with Bet Angel, I will have to have a look at this. thanks, Chris.

      2. Hi Stefan, I am also using betangle would be so kind as to help me with how to use betangle with the daily tips? do you use an automation file ? or how do you setup betangle .. much appreciated. my email is

    7. Hi Chris,

Thanks for your reply. I will await a reply from BBP and if no success I will subscribe to Gruss and TSM.

Another cracking day today 14 lays on the bounce. Thanks again.

    8. Hi again,

I don’t think Bet Angel support a recovery plan such as the 1-4. In fact they frown on any sort of
recovery betting – prefering to accept losses.

What I meant by recovering any loss was to manually double my stake on the next selection(s) and
      hope for the best.

      Cheers,
      Stef.

      1. ok yes, I understand. Manually controlling your stakes and betting strategy is probably the best way to make lay bets.

    9. Hi. I can see the tips have been added to the greyhound lay page. Are these tips taken into consideration when selecting a dog to lay like the Australian dogs?

      1. Hello, Some like to lay the dogs and some like to back the dogs to win.
        Greyhound Tips Example
You can see in the attached image that Trap 5 was highlighted as the back bet.
For the lay bet we look for those dogs allocated the lowest points and are not tipped to finish in the first 3 places by any of the tipsters. These are considered the best lay bets. hope this helps regards Chris.

        1. So just to confirm when picking a lay bet for UK racing, you do also look at the tipster tips?

Do you still look for odds between 2 and 8?

      1. I think the “Recovery” staking plan works best for me. You might also like to look at my new Backing Strategy a lot easier and not such big bets. Currently today we are on a 56.5% winning strike rate and £80 in profit so far.

    10. Good afternoon Chris,
I’ve just read all the info on your website, very interesting and congratulations on your efforts and last but not least, profits 🙂 I’m thinking of signing up for a week to get the hang of it, but at the moment will probably only be able to bet manually and it will be after 4pm weekdays. Do you still have lots of selections for the evening meetings?

      All the best,
      John

    11. How do you know the odds so early in the morning ?
The Greyhound markets don’t start forming until a couple of minutes before the race..!

    12. hi chris
#ive just signed up and paper trading at the minute but so far looks great
how has youre backing strategy performed over the last week or so
ill also be looking to get bbp and eventually automate but initially looking at manual bets
i usually place lay bets but just wondered how youre backing strategy was going

thanks again for a great service

    13. Do you experience a delay in payouts for greyhounds?

I seem to have got back my stake minus 2% but no payout – it says market settled but i have just got back 0.98 on all todays races

Yet, when i lost they were quick to take my liability

    14. 24 hours though?
I have a weird problem as they have given me back my stake minus a 2% fee but odds of 6.0 etc. they havent returned my actual bet

I should be 120 in profit but i just have 40x £1 in smarkets

maybe ill sign up for betfair or try another exchange

    15. is there a support forum?

I have laid £1 at odds of 7:1, so £1 plus 6.98 liability.

I should get back £7 if my dog loses right?

They are only paying me 0.98 profit

      1. Peter if you lay £1 at 7.0 on Betfair, your liability is (7-1) = £6. If you laid at 7:1, that is 8.0 on Betfair and hence your liability if the dog wins is (8-1) = £7.

If the dog loses, you win £1 less a 2% commission (on UK dogs), which is a profit of £0.98.

On Australian dogs, the commission is around 7% which means you need to have a better strike rate than on UK dogs to break even/make profits.

    16. OR should I be laying as per your example £4 to win £4 minus fees?

I thought it was like a reverse bet, so 8:1 would pay me £8 if it lost, like a bet on the winner would pay

    17. I think ive misunderstood laying, i now realise you are offering th ebet, so £10 offered is £10 gained if it loses.

Right now i know this (sorry) i now know it is a bit more work than first thought.

Is there a blueprint of a scheme to lay multiple dogs on the same race as they cant all win

    18. when laying do you care about 7-9 columns?

I was using those to see if mine was due a win or not but it doesnt seem favourable, im looking to try ignoring those columns

      1. When I am picking my lay bets I follow the guide that I wrote before.
I look for any greyhounds with 15 points or less.
Then I look at the selections in 7-9 columns that is the tips from Racing Post, Sporting Life, Betfair
If any of these three tipsters select any trap number to finish within the first 3 places then that is not a match.
So today Perry Barr 11.06 dogs that were 15 points or less were trap2 and trap 3 – Racing Post tipped 342 – Sporting Life tipped 154 – Betfair tipped 156
so trap 2 was tipped by Racing Post to finishe third so that is not a match. Our only match was Trap 3 – If this dog was between odds of 2.0 to 12.0 then that is our lay bet. In fact trap 3 was 9/4 favourite and lost, Trap 6 won the race, so this was a good greyhound lay bet. Hope that helps Chris

    19. Hi Chris. I have just downloaded Bet Jet Pro, until I can get used to the system, would you mind sending me your setting please? Would like to trial the strategy at this evenings meetings. Cheers

    20. Is there any chance you can seperate out the event details in different columns or commas?
I use BetEngine and the event, time and selection are in different excel columns whereas this download sheet has it all in one field.

The current CSV i have to go in and edit the text, copy it and then paste it, then do it again for the times and the selection for every line- very time consuming.

    21. For those struggling to get this into bet engine this link is useful.

Select the Excel column with all the race info in it and follow the steps

      https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/office/split-text-into-different-columns-with-the-convert-text-to-columns-wizard-30b14928-5550-41f5-97ca-7a3e9c363ed7

You can then put the columns in whatever order needed.

Bet engine needs columns like this:

      12/11/2024 10:48 Oxford Savana Gilbert
      12/11/2024 12:04 Tralee Elusive News
      12/11/2024 12:18 Newcastle Emers Dawn
      12/11/2024 12:51 Newcastle Burrow Fantastic

      Hope that helps someone
